€39m attacker set to be offloaded as club is 'keen to do business' - He would jump at Liverpool opportunity

Villarreal are looking to offload Liverpool target Arnaut Danjuma this summer.

Despite overachieving last season by reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, the club is 'happy to do business' - according to The Express.

The Spanish side didn't qualify for Europe after finishing seventh in La Liga and are looking to raise funds as a result.

He had been a target for West Ham, but talks have reportedly broken down, with the forward interested in a move to Anfield.

Liverpool have already recruited some attacking talent this summer bringing in the likes of Darwin Nunez and Fulham starlet Fabio Carvalho.

However, the Reds did lose star man Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich as well as Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino.

Dajuma's athletic and powerful style of play could be a perfect replacement for Mane on the left wing which was a staple of Klopp's success during his reign at Anfield.

Currently, January signing Luis Diaz occupies the left wing role but Danjuma could be a perfect back-up for the 25-year-old Columbian and would cost around £34m (€39m)

The former Bournemouth winger managed 16 goals and four assists in a season where injuries played their frustrating part.

With Nunez and Jota occupying the central striking role, he could provide real competition to Dias and offer an alternative option.

He's spoken about Liverpool's interest in the past, when speaking to Ziggo Sport via Voetbal Primeur: “I have been informed that Liverpool followed me closely.

“I’ll never lie, I think it’s a bad trait if you’re not ambitious. And if a club were to come along that offers me a higher platform to play, I should always consider that.”

He would jump at the opportunity to play for Liverpool which isn't a surprise given the level of success the Reds have enjoyed under Jurgen Klopp.
