Utd negotiate bonus details on €95m deal as €68.2m Liverpool target hands in transfer request

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Kingsley Coman recently and reports from Germany now claim the forward has handed in a transfer request.

The Reds are in the transfer market for a versatile forward that can develop and become a successor for Mohamed Salah and now Sky Sports Germany claims that Kingsley Coman is unhappy and wants to leave.

Last week, a report from Spain suggested that the Reds could pay the French forward what Bayern Munich are unwilling to and now with the two parties seemingly at an impasse, Liverpool can swoop in.

Sky Sports Germany, via Bulinews, suggests that "a formal transfer request has been lodged."

Manchester United were interested in signing Coman but are closing in on signing Jadon Sancho and Liverpool are resigned to missing out on signing him.

The Times claims that Dortmund are holding out for "a fee of £77.5m (€90.3m) and add-ons that could amount to £86 million (€100m). United are £11 million short of that price."

However, Anfield Central is told that despite being £11m short of BVB's asking price there is no concern from United's camp that the deal to sign Sancho will go the same way it did last summer.

Liverpool might miss out on signing Sancho but they can now use that to sign Coman, who is valued at £58.5million (€68.2m) and is one of the most successful players his age with 1 Champions League, 6 Bundesliga titles, 3 Pokals, 2 Serie A titles and 1 Coppa Italia to his name at 25 years of age.

Coman's greatest strength is his ability to scorch past players using his blistering pace but Jurgen Klopp will be a big fan of his creativity while he will also be confident that he can nurture him into a clinical, goalscoring winger.

He did the same with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah while Diogo Jota has shown huge growth since moving to Liverpool but will need to avoid any more injuries to continue his development at Anfield.

This season, Coman got 8 goals and 15 assists and could have got more but niggling injuries interrupted his rhythm in the Bayern Munich starting XI.
