The Reds finished third in the Premier League after they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on the final day of the season, with a brace from Sadio Mane getting the Reds over the line.

Alisson Becker has once again proved to be a hero for Liverpool after his 95th-minute header against West Brom put them in the strongest possible position in the fight for a top-four finish.

Adrian, on the other hand, has continued his strange career with Liverpool after a post on Instagram saw him tag a photo of the club's massage therapist Motonori Watanabe with a link to Takumi Minamino's insta.

It might have been a simple mistake but Liverpool fans on Twitter have slammed him for the error. Without context, it seems like a somewhat racist mistake and is puzzling when you consider Takumi Minamino wasn't even at Anfield due to his loan move to Southampton.

Adrian's time at Anfield has been typified by one good performance followed by two or three poor ones. His display against Aston Villa when Liverpool lost 7-2 was the worst goalkeeping performance I've ever seen.

His first game for the club saw him win the UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea, saving two penalties to start his career with the Reds in the best way possible.

Since then, however, things have not been as rosy and his Instagram post could be the last time he makes headlines as a Liverpool player if he doesn't renew his contract which expires at the end of June.

He does have an option to renew but at 34 years of age, he might want to end his career by playing more often.

Caoimhín Kelleher has overtaken him as the club's no.2 and so if he does leave, it won't be a huge blow. In fact, it's likely that many fans would be relieved.

This summer is an important one for the Anfield side but finding a new goalkeeper in the event Adrian leaves is very low on the club's list of priorities with a new centre back, midfielder and striker much more important.
