"According to the information": Liverpool could make €50million sale to trigger squad rebuild

Liverpool are at a vital crossroads in the future of their incredible squad as both Naby Keita and Sadio Mane could leave this summer.

Mane has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

If he leaves, it will be heartbreaking. If Keita leaves, the midfielder will leave fans with mixed feelings.

According to a report from IMediasNet, PSG are "ready to break the piggy bank" for the 27-year-old.

I have been one of Keita's biggest fans since he moved to Anfield.

Yet, I'm finding it very difficult to make a case for why he should be retained.

While his injury record has improved, the former RB Leipzig star has struggled for consistency.

It's clear that Thiago and Fabinho are Liverpool's most important midfielders but the third spot in Jurgen Klopp's engine room has been a rotating spot in the side.

IMediasNet reports that "according to the information" from Javier De Mallorca, PSG's new sporting director, Luis Campos, sees Keita as the successor to Wijnaldum at the Parc des Princes.

PSG are reportedly prepared to pay €50million to land Keita.

If true, Liverpool should bite their hands off.

With a year remaining on his contract, injury problems never far away and Keita struggling to perform consistently, a €50million offer would be difficult to turn down in my opinion.

It would give Klopp and his trusted transfer gurus the funds needed to replace Keita and ensure his Mentality Monsters continue exceeding expectations.
