'A wish from Klopp': Liverpool have prepared an offer of €45million to sign attacker in January to solve attacking crisis

Liverpool have prepared a €45million offer to sign Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal just six months after he joined the Yellow Submarine.

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are unavailable to Jurgen Klopp and Pep Lijnders for the month of January due to their participation at AFCON.

Takumi Minamino is on his way back from injury but Roberto Firmino is out with COVID-19 and Divock Origi is sidelined with injury.

Diogo Jota is the only natural attacker available to the coaching staff as Liverpool try and fight their way back into the Premier League title race after a disastrous December.

Liverpool prepare €45million offer to sign Arnaut Danjuma

According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, it's "a wish from Klopp" to see Dutchman Arnaut Danjuma recruited this month to cope with the lack of attackers and the Reds have prepared an offer of €45million to convince Villarreal to part ways with him.

The La Liga side will not want to let him leave as they face Juventus in the Champions League Round of 16 in late February and unlike in previous years, the Italians aren't as strong.

They will believe they can beat them but not without Danjuma, who has scored 4 goals and assisted another for his new team this season.

However, an offer of €45million might sway their thinking as it immediately doubles their investment in the forward.

Danjuma is versatile, powerful and a genuine goal threat - perfect for Klopp

Liverpool need someone who can come in and make an immediate impact this month. If they can't sign a player that meets that criteria then there's no point in wasting funds on new signings as it will just lead to further issues down the line.

Danjuma is the type of player that could come in and hit the ground running. He's direct, more than able to beat his man and most importantly, he's got an eye for goal which is what the Reds need with Salah and Mane gone for up to a month.

The former Bournemouth forward has 9 goals and 3 assists this season which isn't world class but it's enough to make an impact and to keep Sadio Mane on his toes when he comes back.

He's only 24 and so also has plenty of room to develop under Klopp and go to another level in the future.
