Photo of recovering injured Arsenal star suggests Andy Robertson could be back very soon

A photo of Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey on Instagram was reshared on Twitter by a fan and it could be very good news for Liverpool fans.

Sounds odd, I know but bear with me because the 28-year-old also suffered ankle ligament damage just like Andy Robertson but he’s already on the comeback trail.

According to the London Evening Standard, Partey looks set to miss four games and will likely return for the Gunners after the international break in September.

Andy Robertson has suffered the exact same ligament damage to his right ankle that Partey has and so fans will be delighted to know that, 12 days his injury, the Arsenal star has removed his protective boot and posted a picture to social media to update his condition.

A fan on Twitter has shared an Instagram story from the midfielder’s official account which showed him on a stationary bike.

It’s great news for Arsenal fans and underlines that it won’t be too long before Robertson is back in the gym at the Axa Training Centre working on his rehab to get back in action for the Reds.

Of course, Liverpool will be careful not to rush him as we’ve seen what that can do to a player in the past and Harry Kane is a prime example.

It shouldn’t be too long before Robertson is swinging crosses into the box like in the image above but with Kostas Tsimikas playing like a man possessed, Jurgen Klopp shouldn’t worry too much.

The Greek fullback has been one of Liverpool’s best performers during pre-season and if he can carry that form into the opening stages of the new campaign, he might give Klopp a selection headache when Robbo returns.
