LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - MAY 23: (THE SUN OUT, THE SUN ON SUNDAY OUT) Jurgen Klopp manager of Liverpool showing his appreciation to the fans at the end of the Premier League match between Liverpool and Crystal Palace at Anfield on May 23, 2021 in Liverpool, England.

Jurgen Klopp is enjoying a much needed and much deserved holiday and after he was pictured with Mario Gotze last week, he has been spotted loving life on a yacht.

The German manager hasn’t received the praise he deserves for not just guiding Liverpool into the Champions League qualification places but also into third place when it seemed as though the Reds would finish fifth or sixth.

Pep Guardiola rightly deserves the Premier League Manager of the Year award for tweaking his team to cope without a centre-forward as he gave Ilkay Gundoigan more license to attack but Klopp should not be forgotten about.

In the 33rd gameweek of the season, Liverpool were seventh in the table and five points outside the top four after being forced to field 20 different centre-back pairings due to injuries to the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

Fast forward to the final day of the season at Anfield and Liverpool found themselves just behind Manchester United in third and three points above fifth-placed Leicester City as Brendan Rodgers oversaw another end of season capitulation.

While all the talk is now about Liverpool’s transfer plans for the summer ahead of what is set to be a fiercely fought Premier League title race between Liverpool, the Manchester clubs and Chelsea, Klopp is enjoying his vacation.

The German was spotted watching tennis with former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze at the Mallorca Championships as he recuperates after a long and difficult season.

Klopp tragically lost his mother to COVID and was unable to attend her funeral due to travel restrictions which just further underlines how amazing he is and why Liverpool should never take him for granted.

The 54-year-old is now enjoying his time off on a yacht and after the media criticised him while oblivious to his personal grieving this season, it’s great to see him in good spirits and hopefully the break by the sea will mean he returns for pre-season recharged and ready to take on the stress that comes with managing Liverpool Football Club.
