Despite being refuted by well-trusted sources in England, Anfield Central reported news in June that Liverpool had signed Fatawu Issahaku and the player has confirmed it on his social media.
We reported the news on 17th June and despite an attempt from Manchester United to hijack the 17-year-old’s move to Merseyside, he has confirmed that he has joined Liverpool.
A trusted Ghanian source told us on 25th June that the deal was complete and that there was an “arrangement in place to sign the 2021 U20 AFCON Player of the Tournament.”
The 17-year-old’s move to Liverpool has earned Steadfast FC a fee worth over €1million which is incredible given the player’s age.
He has now reshared a video to his Instagram that is confirmation of the move and should clear up any doubt that he has joined the Reds.

Our informed Ghanain source described the 17-year-old as a player with ‘ferocious talent’ and say he has been compared to the great Abedi Pele.
He told us in June: “Ghana has great football talents and has had a good number of them. The greatest of them all is Abedi Pele.
“It is interesting to note that, Fatawu Issahaku, at his age, is being likened to the legend Abedi Pele.
“The two have some shared routes. Burst into the limelight at an early age. Both have a wicked left foot and have incredible dribbling abilities.
“Fatawu Issahaku is a winger who likes to dribble. He has the ability to shoot from any angle whenever he has the opportunity and has an immense acceleration capacity.
“Can easily play anywhere in midfield and highly effective on the wings and likes to cut inside.
“His talent is ferocious. For his age and playing in Ghana’s lower tier, it is because of his notorious potential that’s already made him a star.”
