Nottingham Forest on verge of surprise deal for £50m Liverpool title hero

Liverpool do not want to stand still after winning the Premier League, and are plotting some key reinforcements ahead of the summer. However, the club are also expecting to move on several players, and one such star is on his way to Nottingham Forest.

Arne Slot wants major surgery on the squad this summer, and he has the club’s backing to bring in the changes to the set-up ahead of the next transfer window.

Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes has already been working on several deals, but he is also mindful of outgoings, which is going to be crucial, given FSG’s self-sustaining model.

The Merseyside giants expect to sell as many as ten players, and it seems Forest are set to take one of those stars to the City Ground in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Forest push to sign top-rated Liverpool star

Harvey Elliott has been a bit-part player under Arne Slot this season, and is known to be frustrated about his lack of regular game time on Merseyside.

The attacking midfielder has not ruled out leaving Liverpool, and Newcastle United are among the clubs who are interested in getting their hands on him.

However, according to Football Insider, Forest have also joined the race to sign the 22-year-old in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Morgan Gibbs-White could leave Forest amid interest from Liverpool and Manchester City, and Forest are seeking a replacement for him soon.

Elliott has been identified as a player who could replace Gibbs-White in the Forest team next season, and the club are plotting a swoop in the summer.

Liverpool have yet to decide whether they want to sell the player, but an offer worth £50m would be deemed good enough to let the attacking midfielder leave in the next window.
