Liverpool will be in the market for major firepower this summer.
Arne Slot is reportedly not a fan of the club’s attacking options outside of Mohamed Salah this season. And he is right to believe that. The Egyptian international has contributed over 40 goals in the Premier League this season. Luis Diaz is the next highest scorer for the reds in the league, with just nine goals.
Slot is reported to have asked for new faces ahead of next season. The former Feyenoord boss wants players with enough versatility to play across the frontline. But this could mean some players will leave Anfield this summer. Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly a big fan of Darwin Nunez, and is eyeing a move for the Uruguayan this summer.
Quiz: Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
Newcastle eye two Liverpool stars

In their search for firepower up top, Liverpool will pursue a new striker this summer. Darwin Nunez has fallen out of favour under Arne Slot, and is heavily linked with an exit when the window opens.
Newcastle striker Alexander Isak looks to be the priority target for the reds. Liverpool have reportedly met the player’s representatives in recent months. It could take as much as £150million to temp the Magpies, but the latest development has offered an alternative.
According to Give Me Sport, Newcastle United are interested in Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott. Eddie Howe is said to be a huge fan of both players, and is eager to sign them. With the current market for Isak, it would not be surprising if Liverpool offer both players in a swap deal.
Would the club take this swap deal for Isak?
In the unlikely event this transfer materializes, Liverpool need to take this offer and run. The club get to offload two players who have been unreliable over the last few seasons in exchange for a top Premier League star. The reds have been crying out for firepower to augment Mohamed Salah since the season began, Isak would be the perfect fit.
And in the unfortunate case Liverpool lose their best attacker, he could step into the team as the new talisman. Out of all the swap deals reported this year, this should be the most interesting.
