With domestic football on pause for the international break, speculation about Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool has surged, fueled by various reports claiming inside knowledge.
In response, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, took to Twitter to debunk these rumours, labelling them as “click-whoring” and asserting that they are based on “absolutely nothing.”
The post said: “FYI – all those ‘journalists’ who imply having ‘inside information’ about Mohamed’s future are making claims/posts based on absolutely nothing.
“Just click-whoring. ‘Sources close to Mohamed’ don’t exist. This post is really just to tell you that they don’t know.”

Issa, who also serves as Salah’s lawyer and advisor, dismissed the claims of journalists purporting to have exclusive information about the forward’s future.
In his tweet, he clarified that “sources close to Mohamed” are non-existent, emphasising that the recent speculation is unfounded. Issa’s response was a clear attempt to cut through the noise and assert that the circulating reports lack credibility.
Contract uncertainty for key Liverpool figures
The situation regarding Salah’s contract is part of a broader concern at Liverpool, with Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold all entering the final years of their respective contracts.
The club faces increasing pressure to secure new deals to avoid losing these pivotal players next summer.
The recent speculation was exacerbated by Salah’s comments following Liverpool’s emphatic win over Manchester United.
Salah hinted at the possibility of this being his last season with the club, suggesting he hoped to prompt the club into offering him a new contract.
“As you know, it’s my last year in the club. I just want to enjoy it, I don’t want to think about it,” Salah remarked in an interview with Sky Sports. He added, “I said it could be my last time [playing at Old Trafford]. No one in the club has talked to me yet about a contract, so I say it’s my last season and then we’ll see.”
Talks will be held soon enough but until then, it’s wise to rely on trust outlets only for news about Salah’s contract.
