“I’ll get it signed”: Phenomenal star told to accept £380,000 per week contract from Liverpool – deal worth £80million

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has been urged to put pen to paper on a deal reportedly worth over £80million.

The Egyptian is currently sidelined with a groin injury but will be doing everything in his power to make sure he is fit to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Once the Reds booked their place in the final with a 3-1 win over Villarreal in the semi-final of the competition, Salah wasted no time in sending a warning to Los Blancos.

“I remember the last final against Real Madrid as if it was yesterday,” the world-class no.11 said.

“We are well prepared and hopefully we can take our revenge in the next final.”

Liverpool were beaten 3-1 in 2018 but Salah was forced off the pitch due to a shoulder injury inflicted by Sergio Ramos so he has extra motivation to produce the goods at the Stade de France on the 28th of May.

In all competitions this season, Salah has scored 30 goals and provided 16 assists while he will be hoping Madrid’s Karim Benzema will not be able to add to his 44 goals and 15 assists.

A subplot this entire season has been the ongoing contract talks between FSG and Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, and with an agreement yet to be made, his future is the constant subject of speculation.

Former Aston Villa star, Alan Hutton, has claimed that Salah must put pen to paper on a new deal and should accept what’s on offer.

He told Football Insider:  “We’re talking four years now. Was that not one of the stumbling blocks before, the length of the contract?

“If your agent’s phoning you and saying you’ve got that on the table, I’d say: ‘Fire that through to me. I’ll get it signed.’ That is an obscene amount of money for that contract for four years.

“I think they’ve done everything possible to keep hold of one of their star players. If that’s the deal, how can you grumble at that? I think they’ve shown their intent moving forward.

“They want him within this team moving forward and offered what he’s worth, in my opinion. Hopefully, for Liverpool, it’s just a matter of time.”

A report recently stated that Liverpool are confident of reaching an agreement with Mohamed Salah to extend his terms beyond 2023.

The Reds are “confident an agreement is not far away” over a contract worth £80million in total with the forward reportedly close to agreeing to terms worth around £20million per year or the equivalent of £380,000 per week.
