Liverpool are in talks with the representatives of Mohamed Salah over a new deal but there is still no agreement over fresh terms between the two sides. The club hope that the forward will eventually sign on the dotted lines to extend his stay at Anfield.
The Merseyside giants are pushing hard to convince the attacker to sign a new contract but so far progress in negotiations has been slow between the two sides.
Salah has been an icon at Anfield and will go down as a club legend but Liverpool are keen to make sure that he is still there next season as replacing his impact would be close to impossible.
His priority is to continue at Anfield but he was left angry by the initial offer that Liverpool made and clubs such as Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing him.
There are suggestions that the forward wants to sign a three-year deal but it has been claimed that the position of the player is not as rigid as everyone wants to believe.
The Reds get some good news on the Salah front
Liverpool reporter David Lynch has given his take on the state of the negotiations between the club and the player’s representatives.
Speaking to Sports Mole, the journalist insisted that Salah is really keen to continue his career at Anfield despite interest from Saudi Arabia and clubs in Europe.
He doesn’t believe that his demand for a three-year deal is as rigid as it is being portrayed and Salah won’t leave just for that reason.

Lynch is almost certain that a compromise will be worked out between the two sides for Liverpool to continue at Anfield beyond the end of the season.
“I think all of his actions show a player who would really like to stay at Liverpool and I think he wants to keep climbing that Premier League top scorers list, same as the Liverpool list as well”, Lynch explained.
“I just think when you’ve got a player who is clearly that desperate to stay, I don’t think he’s going to be sitting there saying, ‘if you don’t give me three years, I’m going to leave’.
“I think there is an openness to compromise from his side which really, really bodes well for Liverpool.
“So if you’ve got that then I’m sure that compromise can be reached and it’s just a case of thrashing that out over the next few months.”
