What time does the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea kick off?

Liverpool will look to extend their record of nine Carabao Cup trophies on Sunday when they meet Chelsea at Wembley in the final.

The Reds booked their place in the final last month when they beat Fulham in both legs but the big day is finally here. Jurgen Klopp will be relishing this occasion as it is one of his final opportunities to lift a trophy as Liverpool manager.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, meanwhile, will want to win the first final since he took the job in the summer. Given the injuries the Reds, have heading into the match, it's a lot more balanced than the Premier League table would suggest.

Liverpool top the table with 60 points while Chelsea are 10th with just 35 points. Yet, depending on the players that will be available to Klopp, the final could be an interesting affair.

What time does the Carabao Cup final start?

The final will kick off at 3 PM UK time on Sunday afternoon with the match scheduled to take place at Wembley.

It will last 90 minutes, not including half-time or extra time. If the scores are level after regulation time, there will be an extra period of 30 minutes split into two halves.

Should the scores remain level after that, a penalty shootout will take place to determine the winners of the 2024 Carabao Cup.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see the final last longer than the initial 90-minute period after the 2022 Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals between the two sides saw the Reds win on penalties on both occasions.
