Appearing in all seven games for Bournemouth, Semenyo has had nine goal contributions. Scoring six and assisting thrice, the Ghana international has been a man on a mission.

Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes happens to be a big admirer of Semenyo. Not to mention he had signed him during his time with The Cherries from Bristol City for a meagre £10.5million

Andoni Iraola’s side are currently lying in fourth place and his frontman’s performance has been grabbing eyeballs. According to TalkSport, both United and Spurs are monitoring the situation, with Liverpool also having interest.

£75m price tag can be a deterrent

Liverpool have splurged over the summer spending north of £400m during the transfer window. They have also bought two strikers in Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, the former breaking the British transfer record in the process.

So considering the overall spend, it is unlikely Liverpool may go all out on the 25-year old. Although Mohamed Salah’s future at the club might be in question and a young replacement is enticing.

But it is Manchester United who ahead in this race with the Red Devils showing keen interest over the summer. Additionally he can serve as a replacement for the currently on-loan Marcus Rashford.
