Luis Diaz is enjoying his summer break in Colombia and visited Atletico Junior, his first professional side at senior level.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a phenomenal 2021/22 season which saw him win Liga Portugal with Porto and the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup with Liverpool.
He also very nearly won the Premier League and reached the Champions League final after starring in the semi-final against Villarreal.
Signed for £50million from Porto, Diaz is already a key player for Liverpool and it’s exciting to think what he could accomplish in his first full season.
With Diaz yet to learn fluent English, there is so much more he can achieve with Liverpool once he is able to properly communicate with his coaches and teammates.
On his return to Colombia, he visited his former side, Atletico Junior, and was presented with a kit to wear.
The club’s official Twitter account shared a video of him at their training ground, tagging Liverpool and saying: “What a joy that he can wear your great shirt, without forgetting ours.
“We have a world crack!”
