In Sunday’s Liverpool Roundup, Henderson is expected to sign a new contract, Ilaix Moriba has been offered to the Reds and they have a plan to sign Mbappe.
Mbappe wants ‘freedom of movement clause’
Let’s start with news from Ian McGarry – Liverpool have a plan to sign Mbappe which gives him control over his career and not the club.
According to McGarry, Liverpool could sign Mbappe if they included a ‘freedom of movement’ clause in his contract.
He said: “It is info reported to us that Liverpool are pursuing and they believe they have an opportunity in which they may be able to get Mbappe for two or three years if they include a get-out clause in his contract, which would be signed under freedom of movement.”
Real Madrid are reportedly weighing up a €120million (£105m) bid to sign Mbappe so it might not be possible to wait until next summer to sign the Frenchman but it seems unlikely he’ll leave with the team now assembled in Paris.
Liverpool fans annoyed with Salah’s agent
The 29-year-old grabbed two assists and his stunning display on the opening day of the Premier League season prompted his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, to send out a cryptic tweet.
I hope they’re watching.

The four-word tweet, presumably aimed at FSG over a lack of movement on Salah’s contract renewal, was unnecessary if so and this was echoed by a multitude of confused, anxious, desperate and angry fans on Twitter.
The tweet was just before full-time almost as if to take full advantage of there being more Liverpool fans online than usual.
Renato Sanches set for meniscus surgery
Renato Sanches was excluded from Lille’s squad to face Nice this weekend and it followed a report from Mundo Deportivo but the Reds will not be signing him.
Get French Football News reported that he was not in the squad to face Nice despite travelling and it sparked suggestions that it has to do with an exit from the Ligue 1 club.
Yet, it now appears that the Portuguese midfielder will undergo knee surgery and L’Equipe reports it’s to do with a meniscus injury.
Jordan Henderson expected to renew terms
Jurgen Klopp has said, according to Paul Joyce, that Liverpool will reach an agreement over new personal terms with Jordan Henderson.
Reporting from his Twitter account, something he saves for major news, Joyce reported that Hendo will agree a new contract with the club.
He cites Klopp as saying: “It will happen. We will sort it. No doubt about that.”
Ben Davies to join Sheffield United on loan
Sky Sports reports that Liverpool are working on the ‘final details’ in a deal to send Ben Davies on loan to Sheffield United for the 2021/22 season.
Davies will ‘complete the move early next week’, per Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas, and significantly, the deal will not include the option to buy the defender.
That particular detail is very interesting to me as it’s never really seemed as though Davies would ever get a look in.
Liverpool fans drool over Jarrod Bowen
Liverpool fans have been drooling over Jarrod Bowen after he scythed through Newcastle on what can only be described as a ‘mad tear’.
While watching Newcastle vs. West Ham, the English forward was utterly sensational and showed why the Reds want him.
He ran right through Newcastle, dribbling past four players and the only criticism I have is that he couldn’t find the finish to match the dribbling.
Liverpool offered Ilaix Moriba; talks already held
Liverpool have been the services of midfielder Ilaix Moriba, according to 90Min, and talks have already been held with his agents.
The 18-year-old, valued at £22.5million (€26.6m), has been banished to the Barcelona reserves after he refused to extend his contract at Camp Nou.

The report suggests that Liverpool have already held talks with Moriba’s agents while West Ham, Leicester, Wolves and Everton have also been offered his services.
