Predicted Liverpool starting XI to face Bournemouth: 9 players missing as “crazy” injury crisis continues

Liverpool Bournemouth

Jurgen Klopp is set to stick with the same starting eleven for Liverpool Bournemouth on Saturday with only one change from the side that lost 2-1 to Manchester United, according to Standard Sport.

The Reds fell to a disappointing 2-1 loss at Manchester United in which Liverpool’s midfield was ripped to pieces.

United were more up for the game and for fans and pundits, that’s simply not good enough.

So what does Jurgen Klopp do? Does he change the line-up or does he give them a chance to redeem themselves? With his current options, that decision may be taken out of his hands.

Team news for Liverpool Bournemouth

The Reds still have a lot of injuries to contend with, including four central midfield absences in Thiago, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.

At the back, the Reds are still missing Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip and new signing Calvin Ramsey.

At the top of the pitch, Diogo Jota is absent, and Darwin Nunez still has two more games of his suspension to go.

One change will most likely come in; Fabinho will start this time having started on the bench against United and was forced to come on in the second half to help the struggling midfield.

There may be a chance for Fabio Carvalho to have his first start ahead of Harvey Elliot or even with Elliot.

His cameo against United saw him help force the Mohamed Salah goal thanks to his volley. Either way there will be very few changes if any.

Predicted Starting XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Elliot; Salah, Diaz, Firmino.

For the visitors, Bournemouth could welcome former Liverpool man Dominic Solanke back, with Ryan Fredericks also pushing to be included.

The side are still without David Brooks, who has recently signed a new deal at the club, and Joe Rothwell who is out with a thigh injury.

Predicted Line-up: Travers; Mepham, Senesi, Kelly; Lerma; Smith, Tavernier, Pearson, Zemura; Moore, Solanke
