Liverpool are reportedly willing to pay Leicester City’s massive valuation of Youri Tielemans, with Het Nieuwsblad claiming they want between €70m and €80m.
PSG made their move to sign Georginio Wijnaldum official on Thursday afternoon after they hijacked the Dutchman from Barcelona and with the Reds losing a quality midfielder, they should go out and buy another one.
Thiago Alcantara will technically be his replacement in the starting XI next term but Klopp still needs to add another player to his engine room to ensure injuries don’t leave him shorthanded at a crucial point in the season.
Liverpool are in talks to sign Tielemans, according to journalist Daniel Nielson, who claims the current asking price is too high but the Reds will negotiate a lower fee. He also says that the player wants to join so a contract will not be an issue.

TeamTalk cites Het Nieuwsblad, who asserts that Liverpool are happy to pay Leicester City’s asking price for the Belgian.
The FA Cup champions are apparently demanding between €70m and €80m and with the Reds apparently willing to meet their asking price, it would seem that the EUROs is all that stands between Liverpool and signing the 24-year-old.
That is, of course, the reports are accurate which is difficult to ascertain. Unfortunately, we don’t have information on this at the moment and although we’ve made enquiries, we don’t have anyone close to Leicester to corroborate or deny claims.
Signing Tielemans would be fantastic as he fits the FSG transfer mould perfectly. Still only 24, he can come in and make an impact while still having room for growth.

Klopp could do wonders with his technical ability and while it’s unknown what kind of role he would have under the German, Tielemans seems perfect for the advanced 8 role that Wijnaldum has played at times.
In transition, he is already one of the best in the Premier League. Not only is he great at bombing forward, but he can also pick a pass or even score from range which will give Liverpool a myriad of options on the fly.
While I hope the reports are true, €70million is a massive amount of money to spend on a player that won’t even start especially when Liverpool are currently unwilling to spend what Borussia Dortmund want for Jadon Sancho.
