Liverpool to trigger clause for Mo Salah replacement

Liverpool are still in negotiations with Mohamed Salah over a new deal but they are nowhere close to reaching an agreement with the club. There is a real chance the winger could leave on a free transfer next summer and the Reds are now actively seeking replacements for him.

Salah is said to be keen on staying at Liverpool but wants the club to offer him a three-year deal, which the Merseyside giants are reluctant to do.

The Reds are also keen to hold on to the player and the fans are desperate to see him sign a new contract but it seems the negotiations are not going according to plan between the two camps.

Salah has openly aired his frustration and claimed that the Merseyside giants are yet to offer him a new contract, which has massively disappointed the player.

Liverpool are still pushing to agree on a new contract but the club are also plotting behind the scenes to make sure that they can line up a Salah replacement.

It has been claimed that the Reds have identified a successor to Salah in Spain.

The club make a major decision on Salah’s replacement

It emerged recently that Liverpool are considering snapping up Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo in the summer transfer window.

The La Real winger has made a major impression on the Liverpool scouts and Arne Slot is pushing to sign him as Salah’s replacement.

With Salah seemingly on his way out, it has been claimed that Liverpool have made a major decision on his potential successor.

According to Nacional, the Reds are prepared to trigger the €60m release clause in his contract with Real Sociedad.

Slot has specifically asked the board to sign the Real Sociedad winger in the next summer transfer window.

Liverpool are ready to pay the full amount in his clause to snare him away from the Anoeta at the end of the season.

Real Sociedad are now resigned to losing the winger in the summer and are preparing their plans accordingly.

The Reds see Kubo as a direct replacement for Salah who is now likely to leave on a free transfer.
