Kerkez has been in contact with Liverpool to communicate his desire to move to Anfield, but the Reds are looking at other options as well ahead of the next window.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiasso has emerged as an option for the Merseyside giants for next summer.

The 25-year-old defender has shown solid form this season for the Serie A giants, and still has four years left on his contract at Juventus.

However, a move to the Premier League has been mooted, and Juventus could cash in on him for a fee of around £38m in the coming months.

Manchester City have been keeping tabs on him, but interest from Liverpool has complicated matters for Pep Guardiola’s side this summer.

Liverpool have the success and the stability at the top to attract a player of Cambiasso’s talent in the upcoming window.
