Liverpool are on the verge of completing a surprise move for a Bundesliga sensation in what’s being described as a bargain deal. However, Liverpool are still in the race, and while they are yet to contact the German club, they have been in touch with the striker and his representatives.
According to TBR Football, Liverpool have had detailed talks with the Frenchman’s camp over a summer switch to Anfield.
They have been monitoring the striker for months and are keen to take him to Anfield as part of their transfer plans.
However, Liverpool are in no mood to pay Eintracht Frankfurt’s £85m asking price for the French forward in the ongoing window.
A move to Merseyside would only become a reality for Ekitike if the German club agree to lower their financial demands and sit down for negotiations for a more reasonable fee.
