Liverpool are on course to have their most expensive transfer window in history after winning the Premier League last season. However, the Reds are now scrambling to ensure that they keep hold of one of the title heroes they do not want to lose this summer.
The Reds have already signed Jeremie Frimpong this summer, and are pushing towards getting deals done for Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez in the coming days.
Liverpool have already sold Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford for an initial fee of £18.5m, and are looking to sell more fringe stars to make squad space and free up more funds more incoming transfer windows.
Arne Slot is clear about not wanting to sell certain stars, but the Liverpool manager is now facing the real threat of watching one of his best performers from last season leave Anfield this summer.

A top Reds star hints at a potential transfer away from Anfield

Barcelona’s pursuit of Luis Diaz this summer has turned into a typical summer transfer saga that Liverpool were keen to avoid.
Sporting director Deco touched base with Liverpool earlier this week to discuss a potential deal, but was firmly told that the winger is not for sale.
Barcelona believe it is a negotiating tactic from the Reds as Diaz is keen on the move despite what the Merseyside giants are saying.
And it seems there is a hint of truth in their belief as the winger has confirmed that the club are holding talks with other clubs during the ongoing transfer window.
“I’m very happy at Liverpool. They’ve treated me well since the first day”, Diaz was quoted as saying by Fabrizio Romano.
“We’re talking with other clubs. It’s the transfer window, it’s normal. If Liverpool renews my contract, or if I have to stay the 2 years I have left, I’ll be happy.
“It’s up to them.”
