The Merseyside giants have major plans for the summer window, which not only involves bringing in world-class stars but also finding ways to move on a few players. A Liverpool title hero has now dropped a major transfer bombshell to boost Newcastle United’s chances of landing him.
The Merseyside giants have made some bold transfer moves, including their ambitious pursuit of Florian Wirtz, which could get done this week if things go according to plan.
Liverpool still hope to sign Alexander Isak this summer despite Newcastle’s unwillingness to sell him, but the club will now have to get going on a few player sales this summer.
The Reds have already sold Caoimhin Kelleher, but Liverpool are now worried about the value of a player dropping with Newcastle swooping in following a transfer bombshell

Liverpool star talks exit, amidt interest from Newcastle

Harvey Elliott was a bit-part player under Arne Slot last season, and the club are open to offers for him in the ongoing transfer window.
Newcastle United are interested in signing him, and he has already turned down a move to Nottingham Forest this summer.
He has attracted interest from Italy, and Elliott has indicated that he is keen to move as he doesn’t have time to waste at this stage of his career.
The midfielder stressed that in an ideal he would not want to leave Liverpool, but he has to prioritise what is best for his career.
“It’s just a situation that me and the team have to have a conversation about because I’m coming into an age now where I’m 22, I’m going to be 23 next season”, Elliott was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
“I don’t really want to be wasting years of my career because it’s a short career. You don’t know what’s going to happen.
“I need to reflect. I need to see if I’m content in doing what I’m doing, and how I can improve as a player, because that’s the most important thing.
“I just want to improve and be the best possible version of myself. If that’s to go somewhere else, then it’s a decision that I’m going to have to make, and I just need to see what happens.
