Liverpool target snubs move to sign huge deal

Another big name Liverpool target has turned down a move to Anfield.

Due to the club’s current contract situation, no transfers have been made in the last window. During the summer, Liverpool made one permanent first team transfer. Various reports indicate the club is waiting till the summer to make any transfer decisions.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk are out of contract in the summer. The three players have been key to the club’s success this season. Salah has been determined to end this campaign with a Premier League win.

“It feels good to be fair! Scoring goals, team winning, it’s an incredible feeling. But I said it many times before that my main target this season is to win the Premier League with the team. We are going in the right direction so hopefully we can keep going like this.” he said after the win against Bournemouth.

With a possible trio of departures in the summer, Liverpool are working on replacements. As it stands, the reds would need two defenders and a winger. The club reportedly has some targets they are working on. Liverpool will only move to sign players this summer, as Arne Slot is ‘happy’ with the current squad.

Bayern Munich left back Alphonso Davies was a target for the reds. The Canadian international’s agent even paid a visit to Anfield last month. On Tuesday night, Bayern announced that Davies had put pen to paper on a new deal. The 24-year old will now remain at the Allianz Arena long term.

Davies was delighted to sign a new deal with Bayern: “I am very happy to have extended my contract at this great club. I came to FC Bayern when I was 18 and just wanted to learn as much as possible every day to become one of the best in my position. Now I’m looking forward to another five years together. I’ve already achieved a lot here, but there’s more to come.”

Reds have to move on to new target

With Andrew Robertson slowly declining, Liverpool need a long-term replacement at fullback. Over the past month, the reds have been linked with Girona’s Miguel Gutierrez who is also linked to Real Madrid.
