Liverpool have made some stunning transfer moves in the ongoing window, but the club still need to move a few players on to balance their books. However, the exit of a top Reds star is now under serious doubt after a major transfer bombshell was dropped this week.
The Merseyside giants have been working on several deals to bring in new players, including the headline-grabbing pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool’s ambition this summer is commendable, but their incoming business is going to be expensive, and the club are now under more pressure to sell a few fringe stars.
The Reds have been hoping to offload a few players in the coming weeks, but one Liverpool star has been hit by a shock transfer verdict, which has put his future under the scanner.

Club turn down a transfer chance on Liverpool star this summer

Harvey Elliott has been heavily linked with a move away from Liverpool, especially with the club looking to bring in a high-profile attacking midfielder such as Florian Wirtz.
Newcastle United, Wolves and Nottingham Forest are interested in getting their hands on the 22-year-old midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.
However, there were claims that Bayer Leverkusen were interested in getting their hands on Elliott as part of a swap deal that would have seen Wirtz move to Anfield.
But, according to Sky Deutschland, the German club are no longer interested in signing the Liverpool star this summer.
The Reds want a fee of £50m from his sale, which could have been the key reason behind Leverkusen opting against signing him.
The Merseyside giants believe they will get the fee they want from Elliott’s sale because of the interest from at least three Premier League clubs this summer.
