Liverpool stun rivals with £60m swoop for shock ‘world beater’ transfer

The Merseyside giants have not stood still since winning the Premier League, and are set to break records in the ongoing transfer window. Liverpool are in no mood to relent yet, and the club are now plotting another major transfer to bring in a real ‘world beater’ to Anfield.

Liverpool are on the cusp of finalising a British record transfer for the signature of Florian Wirtz, with Arne Slot playing a vital role in convincing the player to move to Anfield.

However, the Merseyside giants are not shying away from splashing more cash, and there is already talk about another £100m move for a wide forward this summer.

But Liverpool are still in the market for a striker, and the club are plotting to bring in a ‘world beater’ in another fantastic piece of transfer business in the ongoing window.

Liverpool plot transfer to bring in a ‘world beater’ in Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen turned down a massive offer from Al-Hilal last week, and several clubs are scrambling to find a way to sign the Napoli forward this summer.

The Serie A champions will sell him for a fee of more than £60m, and according to GiveMeSport, Liverpool are seriously considering signing him.

It has been claimed that Osimhen’s name came up during discussions in a recruitment meeting on Merseyside last week as the club shift their focus towards signing a striker.

The 26-year-old is a proven goalscorer and had another stellar season on loan at Galatasaray last season.

However, his wages are going to be a massive problem as Liverpool are unlikely to meet his demands for a £400,000 per week contract.

Galatasaray remain the favourites to get Osimhen and are working on a deal to sign him permanently in the ongoing transfer window.
