Liverpool stun rivals as star player makes shock transfer plea

Liverpool have been crowned Premier League champions with games to spare, but the club do not want to stand still in the summer. The plans are in place to significantly bolster Arne Slot’s title-winning squad, and to their credit, the Reds have become an attractive destination for several stars.

Slot plans a substantial revamp of the squad during the upcoming transfer window, and the club are prepared to sanction as many as five new additions.

With an eye on the upcoming season, Liverpool’s manager is focused on overhauling his attacking options, potentially transforming the club’s frontline by the end of the transfer window.

The Merseyside giants are keeping tabs on several players who could come in and improve the forward line. One such star is desperate to move to Anfield this summer.

Top Premier League star wants to move to Anfield

West Ham have decided to sell Mohammed Kudus in the summer transfer window as a means to raise funds through player sales.

He has a £80m release clause, but the Hammers are prepared to negotiate and accept a lower fee if a club are prepared to offer somewhere around £70m.

Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the attacker, and former Premier League scout Mick Brown insisted that the Hammer wants to join the champions.

He is certain that, despite his patchy form this season, Liverpool will make a play to sign Kudus in the upcoming summer transfer window.

“Liverpool have been looking at Mohammed Kudus”, Brown told Football Insider.

“He wants to make that move and will jump at the opportunity if an offer arrives.

“He scored his first goal of the year against Brighton, and all season he’s only got four – for a player of his ability and talent, that’s not good enough.

“The way he plays is going to catch your eye, but for most of the game he’s not doing enough.

“I think that’s the conclusion Liverpool will come to, as will other clubs who have been watching.”
