£43m Transfer Nears as Serie A Club Move for Liverpool Forward

A £43m transfer deal is said to be close, with a top Serie A club pushing to sign a Liverpool forward before the window heats up further. According to sources, talks are set to accelerate in the coming days as the club look to wrap up the move ahead of preseason. Insiders suggest the deal could be finalised soon, marking another big exit from Arne Slot’s squad.

Liverpool are set to observe market developments and focus on player sales following the imminent arrival of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth this week.

The Reds need to move on a few players, and they particularly need sales in the attacking department if they want to bring in a striker and a wide forward in the ongoing transfer window.

Napoli open talks with Liverpool for Darwin Nunez’s transfer

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Napoli are now in direct contact with Liverpool to work out a deal to sign the Uruguayan this summer.

Nunez would prefer to stay in Europe despite Liverpool being keen to sell him to Saudi Arabia to maximise their profits from his sale.

The striker approved a move to Napoli following detailed discussions between the club and his representatives, where Antonio Conte’s project was presented to him.

Napoli are now in talks with Liverpool to secure a deal to take Nunez to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in the ongoing transfer window.

Liverpool need his sale and are holding out for a fee around the £43m mark before sanctioning the move.

A deal is likely to get agreed upon as Nunez’s early departure will suit everyone.
