Manchester City are determined to come back better next season and are set to spend big in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Pep Guardiola wants to sign a new right-back, and according to Sky Italia, they are set to get their hands on a top Liverpool target in the coming weeks.

Liverpool have been scouting Flamengo’s Wesley Franca for months, and have held talks with his representatives over a potential move to Anfield.

However, Manchester City have moved quickly to emerge as the favourites to land the Brazilian full-back as soon as the current season ends.

They are in talks with the player and his camp, and are working towards securing a deal before the Club World Cup next month.

Guardiola wants Wesley in his squad when Manchester City play in the global tournament in little over a month.
