Liverpool are working on several deals ahead of the summer transfer window as they seek to build on their Premier League-winning campaign. However, one of their top targets could be on his way to Manchester United ahead of next season.
Sporting director Richard Hughes is under pressure to deliver this summer and back the good work carried out by Arne Slot in his first season on Merseyside.
Liverpool have a big budget, and the manager is keen to have a new-look forward line at his disposal next season to end the team’s overreliance on Mo Salah to rescue them all the time.
The Reds are looking to bring in a few Premier League-proven talents, but one such player is now expected to move to Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United are in pole position to sign a Liverpool target

Antoine Semenyo is expected to leave Bournemouth this summer due to interest from some of the top Premier League clubs ahead of the end of the season.
Liverpool have identified him as a top target for the summer, and he has also been on the radar of Arsenal and Newcastle United ahead of the next window.
However, according to Football Insider, Manchester United are set to beat everyone to the signature of Semenyo in the summer.
Ruben Amorim wants to change his forward line for next season, and the Bournemouth attacker is one of his primary targets for the next window.
Semenyo is also keen on the move, and talks have taken place between his representatives and Manchester United over a summer switch.
A deal is still dependent on Manchester United winning the Europa League next week and booking their place in next season’s Champions League.
However, if that happens, the Premier League giants are expected to have the money to fund a deal for Semenyo, who is rated at £70m by the Cherries.
