Liverpool shocked as £68m striker drops transfer bombshell

Liverpool are in the market for a number 9, and it is probably the biggest transfer priority for sporting director Richard Hughes this summer. The club have been tracking several strikers, and one such star has revealed his plans for the next stage of his career.

Darwin Nunez has not started a Premier League game since March and is almost certain to move on from Liverpool in the upcoming summer window.

His departure could be sooner than expected, as a couple of clubs involved in the Club World Cup next month are keen to sign the Uruguayan in the coming weeks.

Alexander Isak is the priority target for the Merseyside giants, but there are other alternatives, and one such target has spoken out about his future before the season ends.

Can you name these 10 former Premier League players?

Liverpool are on red alert after a striker target reveals his future plans

Benjamin Sesko’s future at RB Leipzig is under the scanner ahead of the summer transfer window as several clubs are circling to sign him.

Manchester United and Arsenal are pushing to sign the Slovenian forward, and Liverpool have also moved forward to hold talks with his representatives.

Sesko has a release clause exceeding the £68m figure, and is almost certain to join one of the big heavyweights of the Premier League this summer.

The forward has remained coy on his future, but stressed that he is open to all possibilities once the season ends.

“Right now, I’m 100 percent focused on RB Leipzig”, Sesko told Sky Deutschland.

“Then we’ll see what happens. It’s open, anything can happen.”

Leipzig are prepared to accept different payment structures and terms for Sesko’s departure if a club are prepared to fork out more than his release clause figure.

Liverpool have a real admiration for the young striker, and believe he could be a game changer at Anfield.
