Sporting director Richard Hughes is closing in on wrapping up a deal to sign Florian Wirtz for a record-breaking fee of £113m in the coming days.
Jeremie Frimpong’s arrival is expected to be announced soon, and Liverpool are also making steady progress in negotiations to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth this summer.
However, player sales will be needed to do more in the upcoming window, and the club are ready to sanction the exit of an Arne Slot favourite for the right price in the coming weeks.

Cody Gakpo has scored 18 goals and registered seven assists in all competitions for Liverpool this season, and until recently, he was seen as a player who would stay.
However, Bayern Munich are interested in signing him, and the club have been in contact with his representatives over a potential deal.
And according to Sky Deutschland, Liverpool are open to selling him if they receive the right offer for the Dutchman in the upcoming transfer window.
The Reds have not ruled out selling Gakpo, and believe they can get an upgrade on him if they can sell the forward for a big fee this summer.
Bayern Munich have other options as well and will need to sell players to put together the funds needed to sign Gakpo in the upcoming transfer window.
The Dutchman would be open to the move as well if Liverpool are ready to offload him in the summer.
