Oxlade-Chamberlain hints at 21/22 role
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has dropped what can be considered a hint that he will compete with Roberto Firmino for the no.9 spot.
“But the way that role is played, it’s almost similar to a No.10, attacking-midfield role because you drop quite deep so in that sense I find it quite natural.
“So I don’t mind doing that role – but you know, I’ve still got my head more fixed on the midfield situation. But if I need to fill in and do that, then I’m confident that I can do that as well.”
Konate set for Liverpool debut today
Liverpool Football Club have confirmed that Ibrahima Konate will make his debut for the club on Tuesday against Innsbruck and VfB Stuttgart.
Klopp confirmed that the Frenchman is in line to make his first Liverpool appearance to the club’s official site, saying: “Tuesday. He’s had a good rest, had a normal pre-season so far, so yeah, he can play on Tuesday.
“For Ibou it is important that he gets minutes quickly, that’s what pre-season is for.
Liverpool can sign Saul with improved bid
According to Moby Haque, Fernando Torres has spoken to Saul glowingly and if Liverpool submit an improved bid, they could sign the Spaniard.
He suggests: “My Atletico friend advised me that Fernando Torres has spoken to Saul about LFC in glowing terms.
“If LFC moves a better offer to AM it’s doable.”
Sanches wage demands problematic
The Liverpool Echo’s Paul Gorst says that Renato Sanches moving to Anfield is problematic due to his wage demands.
He writes: “With Sanches, the issue would be that he is a player who would come in on wages that would not fall in line with where his place would be within the squad.
“Would he be ahead of Keita? There is an argument to say yes, but those who love Keita would say not.”
Liverpool want to swap Grujic for Malen

The Spanish journalist claims his agent is ‘advancing the negotiations’ with Manchester United and they have taken a ‘decisive’ step, ‘surpassing’ Liverpool in the race for the 26-year-old’s sought after signature.
