In Saturday’s Liverpool round-up, the Reds have a €40m bid on the table for Saul and have again made contact with Fiorentina for Vlahovic.
Liverpool make contact again for Vlahovic
Liverpool have made contact again with Fiorentina for Dusan Vlahovic and they could make life tough for Spurs.
Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Liverpool are in talks with Vlahovic’s entourage over a move to Merseyside.
We reported that a phone call was held with sporting director Daniele Prade as Liverpool explored the possibility of signing Dusan Vlahovic.
Aouar has no intention of playing for Lyon
Houssem Aouar reportedly has ‘no intention of being part of Peter Bosz’s project’ and they would accept around to €25m.
French journalist Julien Laurens broke the news for ESPN that Liverpool, Manchester United, Spurs and Arsenal are interested in Aouar.
GFFN, a well-known source for French football news, has claimed that Aouar has no intention of playing for Lyon again.
Liverpool ready €40m bid for Koulibaly
Liverpool reportedly want to add to their growing defensive ranks by recruiting Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The report goes on to state that Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis will not accept anything less than €50m for Koulibaly despite the Serie A outfit being in financial trouble due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Even though Liverpool had an unprecedented injury crisis at the heart of defence last season, there is no need to have seven centre-backs especially when four of them would be world-class.
Liverpool prepared to pay Malen €100k/week
Liverpool have made it clear to Donyell Malen and Mino Raiola that they are willing to match the contract offered by Borussia Dortmund.
Anfield Central reported exclusively on Wednesday that BVB had agreed on personal terms with the PSV attacker.
Dortmund have agreed to pay Malen around €100,000 per week and a source with inside knowledge on a number of clubs in Holland has told Anfield Central that Liverpool have informed the player and his agent that they are willing to commit to the same salary.
Exclusive: Why Gomez missed training
Joe Gomez sat out of Friday’s outdoor session in Austria but he continued his work indoors and was absent merely as a precaution.
As was expected, however, he is battling with swelling around the knee that sustained the damaged and the decision was taken on Friday for him to miss the outdoor session.
While there are no tears or damage to the tendon at the moment, Gomez is still working with the club’s physios to build up the strength and stamina in his tendon to the level it was at before.
Liverpool could swoop for Saul & Griezmann
With Liverpool’s offer to Atletico Madrid still on the table, Saul Niguez could still move to Anfield while Antoine Griezmann has been offered to the Reds by his sister/agent.
Empire of the Kop reported on Friday as news broke that negotiations weren’t going swimmingly between Atleti and Barcelona that Liverpool remain keen on Saul.
According to 90Min, the French forward’s agent and sister, Maud, has offered him to ‘a handful of Premier League sides but Atletico Madrid remain well ahead in the race for his signature.’
Liverpool are said to be one of the sides offered the chance to sign Griezmann while Chelsea and Man City have also been contacted.
It’s easy to understand why nobody is taking up the call to sign the former Real Sociedad attacker as he is already 30 and is reportedly earning wages in the region of £594,000 per week.
