Liverpool plot £83 million bid for ex-Man City star

There’s a lot of buzz around Liverpool and transfers at the moment, with questions looming over Liverpool’s biggest stars and who might be called upon to replace them in the future.

Even some of Liverpool’s stars of tomorrow have been linked with moves away. Take Tyler Morton for instance, the midfielder has reportedly been linked with a move to Elland Road to end Leeds United’s midfield woes.

But losing Morton is admittedly the tip of the iceberg with Liverpool fans across the world worrying about the futures of three players in particular in the shape of skipper Virgil Van Dijk, the world class Trent Alexander-Arnold and the Premier League’s greatest ever winger Mo Salah.

The trio are all out of contract and rumours are swirling around all three about the prospect of them staying or going come the end of the  season.

Mo Salah says this will be his “last season” at Liverpool

The Egyptian King Mo Salah sent social media and fans into a frenzy after he scored against Manchester United in the third game of the season at Old Trafford. Having also provided two assists in the game for Luis Diaz, the Sky Sports crew unsurprisingly wanted a word with a laid back Salah who made a headline or two when he said this season was set to be his last at Anfield.

However, this could have easily been interpreted as him saying it will be his last unless things change or a simple power play from Salah to heap the pressure onto FSG and co to keep the forward another few years.

Nonetheless, Salah’s time at Liverpool will come to an end one day and the Reds have to prepare for that.

£83 million bid on Salah replacement

Despite signing Federico Chiesa from Juventus this summer for a modest sum adding cover to the right wing spot and freeing up Harvey Elliott to cover the number 10 spot when he returns from injury, Liverpool perhaps need to consider more long term solutions on the wings.

This perhaps explains the interest in former Manchester City youth star and current Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea or Tottenham.

Earlier today, we reported the news that a €100 million price tag had been put on the 20-year-old exciting winger but now a new detail has emerged.

According to reports, Liverpool are said to be plotting a bid for the young winger and meeting this price tag which would equate to an £83 million transfer.
