One of Liverpool’s stars has been rated as the third most expensive player in the Premier League according to a new study by analysts.
They boast an extraordinary squad with world-class players everywhere but one name has risen above the rest – in terms of value.
Luis Diaz’s fast start to his Liverpool career has seen his stock exponentially from being a talented ‘one to watch’ at Porto to a winger who is in the highest bracket of wingers in the PL.
His long-distance goal to salvage a point for Liverpool against Crystal Palace was an example of how important he is – and now he’s been rated as the third highest valued player in the league.
"That is absolutely SENSATIONAL from Diaz!" 🔥

Diaz ranked third in PL
Diaz, 25, has enjoyed a good start to life on Merseyside and although his value on Transfermarkt is £58.9M, he’s been valued at around £100m.
Luis Diaz’s transfer value, which focuses on contribution, length of contract, league and other details, now stands as high as £100M according to analysts at the Swiss-based CIES Football Observatory.
That represents an increase of £664M on the guaranteed fee that Liverpool paid to acquire his services. That figure makes him the Liverpool player with the highest transfer value at present, leapfrogging Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah, as per the Liverpool ECHO.
His value is behind only Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Erling Haaland when it comes to the Premier League, according to CIES data, as per the ECHO.

Key player for Liverpool
When he joined the side in January, he gave Liverpool a huge boost from then until the end of the season as the side pushed for a famous quadruple.
It saw Sadio Mane go central and Diaz cause chaos on the left wing and the Reds went from strength to strength. Now there’s a new striker up top in Darwin Nunez and the front three is changed from the tried and tested Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Now he has to grow into the type of player who could create and score in big moments, as Mane did.
Time is on his side as he’s only a year older than Mane was when he first arrived – and Diaz has joined an infinitely better team as well which should help him improve.
