Liverpool perform shocking transfer U-Turn on £30m title hero

Liverpool are expected to spend big to improve the title-winning squad, but the club are also focused on sales. They are still undecided on certain players, but it seems a decision has been made on the future of a title hero ahead of the end of the season.

Arne Slot wants major surgery on the squad, and apart from quality arrivals, Liverpool are also focused on ensuring that they move on players who are not part of the Dutchman’s future.

Sporting director Richard Hughes has been tasked with the job of getting decent fees from player sales, and as many as ten stars could leave Anfield this summer.

Liverpool are still to finalise whether they want to sell certain fringe stars, but it seems a decision has been made on whether to keep or sell a certain player.

Transfer journalist provides update on top Reds star

Jarell Quansah has been a bit-part player at Liverpool this season and has struggled to get meaningful game time, especially in the Premier League.

Newcastle United are interested in getting their hands on the defender, and he has also emerged as a top target for Nottingham Forest ahead of the summer.

Liverpool have ruled out selling the defender, but it appears that stance is set to be flexible as Quansah wants to play regular football next season.

With the Reds set to sign a centre-back, Quansah will drop further down the pecking order, and David Ornstein has revealed that the defender is expected to leave ahead of next season.

“I would expect Jarell Quansah to leave”, Ornstein said on the Back Pages podcast.

Liverpool are likely to be open to selling him if they receive a fee in the region of £30m in the upcoming summer transfer window.
