Liverpool could start their summer transfers with a bang.
The reds will reportedly have a significant amount of funds made available for transfers. Liverpool could have even more money for signing if their big earners leave. Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk are the top two highest paid players at Anfield. Trent Alexander-Arnold could also leave at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Outside Liverpool’s worries off the field, the club now has to focus on finishing the season. Arne Slot could end his first year in charge with a treble. The reds have a healthy 13-point lead on top of the Premier League. Liverpool face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this week.
The club could lift their first trophy of the campaign in the League Cup final against Newcastle next week.

Arne Slot has reportedly asked for new faces in attack ahead of next season. The performances of Liverpool’s attack outside Mohamed Salah have raised concerns. Diogo Jota has barely been fit this season, and Luis Diaz has had long inconsistent stretches. Slot has shown that he is not a fan of Darwin Nunez as he has benched the striker for most of the season. It comes as no surprise that Liverpool will be willing to listen to offers for these three players when the summer window opens.
It has recently been reported by James Pearce that Liverpool will be looking for a new striker in the upcoming window. Many names have been linked, including Matheus Cunha and Joao Pedro. The highest profile name set to be available in the summer is Newcastle’s Alexander Isak.
Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri has revealed that Liverpool are currently in contact with Isak’s representatives. The reds are ready to launch a move for the 25-year old, with Newcastle reportedly looking for a fee of up to £150million. Isak has 22 goals and 5 assists in all competitions for the Magpies this season.
Reds need to make statement signing
A lot of things are going to change at Anfield this summer. Whether it be the new arrivals or players leaving at the end of their contracts. But one thing the club need to prioritize is their competitiveness. This season has shown Arne Slot is worth backing in the transfer market to guarantee future success. Liverpool can do just that by signing Alexander Isak from their major rivals.
