Liverpool one of ’15’ clubs battling it out for £13M rated baller

Liverpool are set to battle it out with no less than 15 clubs for the signing of £13M rated winger who’s impressed in recent months.

Shakthar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk has been making a lot of noise in recent months and his skills, dribbling ability and exciting style of play has been very well received on social media.

But it’s not just fans who’ve been excited by the 21-year-old’s talent, it seems almost every big club in Europe now has tabs on the winger.

With his performances showing a continued level of consistency at the start of this season, it’s likely the reports are going to intensify as a January move could be possible for whoever out of the 15 teams wants to make the move for the highly coveted talent.

Latest reports on Mudryk

According to Russian football journalist Artur Petrosyan, Liverpool scouts will be present at the upcoming Shakhtar v Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Mudryk is likely the reason for Liverpool’s interest because the interest in the player is growing fast, with the club having declined summer offers (€30m max) for the winger from Everton and Brentford.

“After Mbappe and Vinicius, he is the best in Europe in his position,” said Dario Srna, club’s director of football. Now the youngster gets a chance to rub shoulders with the best side in Europe and a good performance against the reigning champions would see his stock rise even more.

Mudryk is one of the hottest properties in European football and is expected to cost ‘more than €50million’, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Liverpool, Newcastle United, Arsenal and Sevilla are believed to be interested. Romano has said he thinks Mudryk will be “linked with 15 clubs in the next three months”.

“Despite growing speculation, I have no updates on Mudryk now – I think he will be linked with 15 clubs in the next three months, and it’s normal as he’s a top talent, but nothing will be decided now,” Romano told CaughtOffside.

“Shakhtar will take their time and I’m sure they want more than €45-50m for Mudryk … but we’ve to see how his performances in the Champions League will be in the next weeks.

“I’m a big fan of the player, still only 21 years old and doing important things in the Champions League, but I can’t currently say much more in terms of where we’ll be seeing him in the future.”

Mudryk’s quality

This season has seen him three assists and two goals in only five games including two goals and two assists in just two UCL games as Donetsk have made a great start in the competition.

He’s averaging 1.3 key passes per game, a 78% pass success rate and 4.5 ball recoveries a game according to WhoScored and Squawka.

Most effective as a left winger, his pace, energy and directness is a breath of fresh air and his stand-out performance in the 4-1 win over RB Leipzig has seen him become one of Europe’s hottest properties.

Two assists and a goal in a big game has shown his qualities but the ultimate test against Real Madrid in back-to-back home and away games will be a good gauge for the talented Ukrainian.
