Former Fulham midfielder offered to the Reds

Joao Palhinha was sensational for Fulham in the Premier League and was on the radar of top Premier League clubs before he joined Bayern Munich last summer.

The 29-year-old midfielder has struggled in Bavaria, and the German giants are prepared to consider offers for him in the summer transfer window.

His agent has already started working on a way to take him back to the Premier League, and according to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are amongst the clubs who have been offered the chance to sign him.

Palhinha is a proven commodity in the Premier League, and Liverpool are in the market for a defensive midfielder.

However, at 29, he doesn’t fit the age profile of players Liverpool want to sign, and Bayern Munich would not want to take a heavy loss on the £48m they paid for him last summer.

It remains to be seen whether the Reds show an interest in signing him if he becomes available for a more reasonable transfer fee.
