The damaging effects that has had on Liverpool this season is clear for all to see. In their last six Premier League fixtures, the Reds have won just one game and lost twice, drawing three times.
Most notably, it has seen the champions blow their position at the top of the table, heading into their 20th game of the season in fifth place and seven points behind leaders Manchester City who will have a game in hand on the Merseysiders when Spurs leave Anfield this evening.
Klopp is furious, to say the least. Our sources claim that while the German understands that this season is one of the most unique in living memory due to COVID-19, signing a stop-gap defender on loan is, in his eyes, not too much to ask.
