Liverpool midfielder makes shock switch to Manchester City

In a move that few predicted, a Liverpool midfielder has completed a shock transfer to Premier League rivals Manchester City. The switch between two of the league’s fiercest competitors is likely to fuel fresh debate over player development and transfer dynamics between top clubs.

Liverpool emerged as the Premier League champions last season, while Manchester City just about finished in the top four after winning the title in the previous four years.

Manchester City’s recruitment since the last winter window suggests that Pep Guardiola’s side will be a major rival for the Merseyside giants in the title race next season.

However, Manchester City are now set to poach an elite midfielder from the Liverpool academy this summer to further heat up the rivalry ahead of the new campaign.

The 14-year-old midfielder has impressed in Premier League Elite Youth fixtures, as well as in friendly tournaments against top English academies.

He joined the Liverpool academy at the Under-9 level and is seen as one of the brightest young prospects.

However, Moss has agreed to move to Manchester City and will be in their academy ahead of the 2025/26 season.
