Liverpool left stunned by £30m star’s outrageous wage demands

Liverpool are almost certain to sign a new number 9 ahead of the summer transfer window. It is the biggest priority for the club, and they have been assessing several strikers. However, the wage demands of a target have left them astonished ahead of the window.

Darwin Nunez’s time is up at Anfield, and he is expected to be sold in the next transfer window as Arne Slot has come to the conclusion that he is not good enough to stay at Liverpool.

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is the top target, but it seems increasingly likely that the Magpies will hold on to the Swede beyond the summer transfer window.

Liverpool are looking at several alternatives, but the wage demands of a certain target have left everyone shocked at Anfield ahead of the next window.

The Reds left stunned by financial demands

Liam Delap is set to leave Ipswich Town in the summer, with several Premier League clubs interested in getting their hands on the striker.

With the Tractor Boys set to get relegated, the striker will be sold for a fee of £30m, which is the release clause in his contract.

Liverpool are interested in Delap and are considering snapping up a top young homegrown forward for a reasonable transfer fee.

However, according to the Chronicle, the striker has made huge wage demands ahead of picking his next club in the summer.

He is currently on a contract worth £20,000 per week at Ipswich, but he wants his next deal to show that he is now a Premier League-proven striker.

Delap is set to ask for wages between £120,000 to £150,000 per week in any talks with his suitors in the upcoming transfer window.

Liverpool are unlikely to offer such a contract while they have other priorities in the market.
