Liverpool are in the market for a number 9 as Arne Slot is keen to have a striker who can replace Darwin Nunez in the team next season. The Uruguayan is almost certain to be sold and the club are tracking several forwards across Europe ahead of the summer.
Alexander Isak is the top target for Liverpool, and the Reds are keen to test the resolve of Newcastle United, who are adamant about not wanting to sell the Sweden international.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike is one of the forwards the club are tracking ahead of the summer, but it has been claimed that his price tag is set to be more than his suitors would have bargained for.

Eintracht Frankfurt slapped a massive asking price on the striker

Ekitike has been a revelation at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he has scored 21 times in all competitions this season, and is seen as one of the top young attacking talents in Europe.
He is expected to leave the German club this summer, and Eintracht were said to be ready to sell him for somewhere around €80m.
Liverpool are among the several clubs who are interested in signing the forward, and they have already held initial talks with the striker’s representatives.
However, according to German daily Bild, Eintracht have raised the asking price for the striker ahead of the next window.
The German club now want as much as €100m before agreeing to sell Ekitike in the summer.
With several clubs chasing Ekitike, Eintracht are now believe that they can get anywhere between €95m and €100m in the upcoming months.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be prepared to spend that amount of money on a young striker this summer.
