There is a growing consensus at Liverpool that they will need to get into the market for a new left-back at the end of the season as part of their plans.
Andy Robertson has been a great servant to the club and was one of the pillars of the Liverpool team under Jurgen Klopp that won the Premier League and the Champions League.
However, the defence is on the wrong side of the 30s and will enter the final year of his contract at Liverpool next summer when he could be moved on from the club.
Kostas Tsimikas has been an able deputy but Liverpool are keen to bring in a new left-back as the long-term successor to Robertson in the squad.
Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez and Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri are two left-back options in the Premier League the Merseyside giants are keeping tabs on with a view to a move next summer.
Arne Slot is also keen to shop in the Eredivisie and the Dutchman is eyeing raiding Ajax for a solution next summer.
Ajax prodigy enters the shortlist at Anfield

According to TBR Football, Liverpool are keeping a close eye on 18-year-old Dutch left-back Jorrel Hato as a potential replacement for Robertson.
The 18-year-old has been somewhat of a prodigy at Ajax and despite his tender years, he has already featured 78 times for the Dutch giants.
Clubs across Europe have been watching him for a while and Liverpool are now ramping up their scouting on the player.
Slot is keen to have a new left-back next season and Hato is seen as a player who could come in and be the solution for the next decade.

However, no decision has been made on any of their targets and Liverpool will continue to look at several left-back options before a firm decision is made closer to the end of the season.
A move for Hato would be complicated as more than a few clubs have their eyes on him and are eyeing next summer as the window to sign him.
Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the young defender for a season now and Mikel Arteta is known to be a firm admirer of the Ajax teen sensation.
