The Merseyside giants have been keeping tabs on him and are prepared to take him to Anfield if he can prove his fitness before the transfer window closes.

Arne Slot’s connections at Feyenoord are a huge advantage for Liverpool, and Timber would be keen to reunite with his former manager at Anfield.

Feyenoord have no option but to sell him this summer because of his contract situation, and are likely to accept a fee between £21m and £25m this summer.
