Liverpool hero ‘forces exit’ in cut-price transfer shocker

Liverpool have made some stunning moves in the transfer window to bolster their squad for next season. However, the Reds are now set to face a shocking reality of a star trying to force his way out of the club for a much smaller fee than what the Reds want from his departure.

Their pursuit of Florian Wirtz has grabbed headlines and eyeballs, but Liverpool have several transfer headaches to solve in the upcoming weeks and going into next season.

Liverpool need player sales, and have already identified the players they want to move on. However, the club are playing a game of cat-and-mouse with certain stars who are attracting interest from European clubs.

But their indecisiveness on certain Liverpool title heroes could cost them, as a top player is now plotting to force his way out of a club for a cut-price deal this summer.

Georginio Wijnaldum

Liverpool hero looking to force a transfer away from Anfield

Luis Diaz dreams of a move to Barcelona, and the Catalan giants are expecting the player to try and force his way out of Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool have rejected an approach from Barcelona, but are also unwilling to offer a new contract to the winger to reward his performances.

Diaz is now set to take the matter into his hands, and according to reports cited by Football365, he will contact the club hierarchy to slash his asking price.

The Merseyside giants want a fee in the region of £68m, but the winger is set to request that the club let him leave for around £43m this summer.

This will help Barcelona to get a deal over the line as they are unlikely to afford Liverpool’s current asking price.

Diaz wants to join Barcelona, and is ready to push the club hierarchy to let him leave the club for a reasonable fee when they are not prepared to offer him a pay rise.
