New signing to force Liverpool “machine” out the door “very soon”- Two bids already received

Neco Williams

Liverpool could now sell Neco Williams following his loan with Fulham last season with Calvin Ramsay set to join the Reds.

The Scotsman has all but joined Liverpool with the final arrangements being made.

A medical is to be conducted before the 18-year-old will sign a five-year contract with the Reds.

According to Sports Illustrated’s LFC Transfer Room, Liverpool have received two bids for Neco Williams with the fullback potentially set to leave “very soon.”

Two bids from Nottingham Forest and Fulham have been received and are worth between £12M-£15M which would “satisfy Liverpool.”

While Ramsay may be joining, it’s disappointing to see Williams leave given the potential he has but he just hasn’t been able to make it work at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp has always gushed about the fullback and labelled him a “machine” last year.

“Neco from the first day he trained with us, he trained like a machine,” Klopp said.

“Every day he became better and better and better and I thought, ‘OK, what’s that?!’

“Unfortunately then, in the moment he started playing for us, I saw it, he got a little physical knock, like it was always really intense all of the time. But then he had to play.”

It it wasn’t for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Williams would no doubt have made a bigger impact in the last couple of years.

On loan with Fulham last season, he scored two goals and assisted five.
