Liverpool want another winger despite Luis Diaz being signed in January and Cody Gakpo is that man, according to reports from the Netherlands.
The Reds were interested in his teammate, Donyell Malen, in the summer but he wound up joining Borussia Dortmund.
According to Voetbal International, the PSV attacker’s agents have already held talks with Liverpool as well as Arsenal and Manchester City.
The Dutch outfit doesn’t want to lose Gakpo this summer but will let him leave for £33.6million if pushes comes to shove and they must allow him to move on to a bigger challenge.

Liverpool were said to be “in battle” with Manchester City over Gakpo’s signature in January.
Voetbal International’s report began by stating that despite Gakpo being on the verge of a new deal with PSV, there was “a good a good chance that the 22-year-old attacker will leave the Eindhoven club this summer.”
“It has been clear for some time that Gakpo will only leave PSV for an absolute top club in Europe.”

Voetbal International are once again at the forefront of the story as Gakpo is linked with Liverpool and City again while Arsenal are in the mix too. All are said to have held talks with the player’s agents.
Bayern Munich are credited with interest as well.
Apparently, Gakpo said internally that he’s ready for a step towards a top European team.

Diaz was electric from the bench against Everton, controlling the ball in midair with poise and South American style.
He’s slowly adding goals and assists to his game as well after a rather slow start to life with the Reds but there’s no pressure on him to carry the Liverpool attack, with the like of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi all chipping in at the moment.
Out wide, Liverpool could only do with more competition for Mohamed Salah but the Egytian has hardly ever missed a game during his time at the club so there is not much pressure to sign someone to compete with him.
Gakpo certainly isn’t a necessity but if Origi leaves as he’s likely to, it wouldn’t hurt.
